Elizabeth "Jamie" Brauner

Elizabeth James Brauner "Jamie",54, of Louisville assed away peacefully at her home into the arms of Jesus on March 28, 2026.

She was born on March 10, 1972 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was a graduate of St, Mary of the Woods College and Bellarmine University. She spent 18 years teaching first graders at St, Albert the Great school, and almost 10 years as a full time sub for Wheeler Elementary. N the past couple of months, Jamie volunteered for the Spina Bifida Association of Louisville, filling Easter eggs, and more noticeably, n the past few weeks, raised over $500 doing online surveys for Spina Bidida. Her life was a testament to her strength and will.

When Jamie was born, no one expected her to live beyond her toddler years. In spite she lived a full wonderful life, sharing and caring for her entire family, laughing, loving and holding all of us accountable to Life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Mary Ann Lehmann, and her brother Cam.

Jamie is survived by her husband of 18 years, Dean, Brother BJ (Lynn), her nieces and nephews, Will, Peter, Annemarie, Carlie, and great-nephew Teo; Dean's nieces and nephews her best friend and sister, Lowell Lehmann; and her favorite dog, Booper, who she really loved and adored.

Visitation will be Monday April 6, 2026 from 3-7 pm at Ratterman Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Road, St. Matthews, and Wednesday 9 am until time of service at the church. Her funeral Mass will be Tuesday April 7, 2026 at 10am St Michael Catholic Church, 3705 Stone Lake Drive, Louisville, Kentucky, with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Spina Bifida Association of Louisville, or Cincinnati Children's Hospital.
