Elizabeth B. Pache, 102, passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at her home.
She was born in Beverly, West Virginia on May 9, 1923. She was a 1942 graduate of Terra Alta High School and a 1945 graduate of Davis Memorial School on Nursing, Elkins, W. Va. Elizabeth was proud of her choice of nursing as a career. It led her to leave West Virginia for career opportunities in Pennsylvania and Ohio, but West Virginia was always home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Pache; her parents, Frank and Louise (Powers) Lothry; brothers, William Rex, George Eugene, Frank Vernon, Ronal Dalton; and sisters, Iris Helena Maroney, Ferrell Ruth Nine, Doris Dawn Davis and Monna Miles Lothry
Surviving are her sisters, Caroline Gunning, Kerrville, Texas and Gloria Gilbert, Big Stone Gap, VA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a deep appreciation to Caris Hospice and their staff: Lindsey, Ashely, Elizabeth, Jen, Hannah, Beth, Elisha, R. J., Diana and Melanie.
There will be a Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Pache at 11:00am on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at the Powell Valley Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, 5650 Powell Valley Road, Big Stone Gap, VA with the Rev. Dr. Beth Tipton officiating.
