Graveside services for Mrs. Elizabeth "Libby" T. Priest, of Wisner, will be 11:00AM Saturday, August 2, 2025, at South Central Cemetery in Wisner with Rev. Thomas Peoples and Rev. Garrison Griffith officiating. Interment will directly follow under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Winnsboro.

Mrs. Libby was born September 12, 1937, in Winnsboro, LA and passed from this life on July 29, 2025, in Winnsboro, LA at the age of 87. She was a teacher for Franklin Academy and Franklin Parish School System before retiring. She loved gardening and could often be found outside, tending to her beautiful flower gardens. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Wisner and even taught the young adults Sunday School class for many years. She was known as a "people person" and made a multitude of friends throughout the years. Anyone who met Libby, knew she had the most wonderful, loving, funny personality, with a long list of "Libbyisms" to go with it. She enjoyed spending time with her family whom she cherished and held closest to her heart. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Huey Priest; parents Hoke Dupree & Lucy Ferguson Dupree; infant twin daughters; sisters-in- law, Shirley Cobb & husband Al, Dorothy Harbor & husband James, Mary Alice Lee & husband J.W., and Nettie Maxwell & husband

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Keith Priest; granddaughter, Hannah Elizabeth Rachel & husband Tyler; great-grandchildren, Harper Elizabeth Rachel, Jackson Tyler Rachel and Jesse Pierce Rachel; special friends, Mugs and Dixie Cheek, Wiley and Sandy McClary, Ray and Dorothy Young, and Kathy Slayden; she is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Jim Lynch, Guy Barfield, Tim Calhoun, Mike Calhoun, Brian Milton, and Jesse Young. Honorary pallbearer Mugs Cheek.
