Edna Elizabeth Hammox Prince, 93, resident of Columbia, and Owner of Silhouette Beauty Salon, died November 30, 2023 at NHC Maury Regional Transitional Center.
A funeral service will be held Monday, December 4, 2023 at 1:00 P.M at Oakes and Nichols Funeral Home with Bobby McCord officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday, December 3, 2023 from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M.
Born July 23, 1930, in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late William Porter Hammox and late Ethel Dovie Gibson Hammox. Elizabeth loved taking care of her customers at her hair salon for 50+ years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, she enjoyed watching the Titans on Sunday, and loved her sons dogs. She was a huge President Trump supporter. Elizabeth loved to shop and travel and enjoyed going to the mountains, Hawaii, and New York.
She is survived by her son: James Owen (Sheree) Prince, Grandchildren: Todd Prince, Damien (Holly) Prince, Chad (Linette) Prince, great-grandchildren: Jamie Prince, Cody (Autumn) Prince, Bella Prince, Peyton (Haileigh) Prince, Sarah Elizabeth Prince, Morgan Prince, great-great grandchildren: Sury Ann Prince, Alivia Prince, Cameron Prince, many nieces and nephews, close friends: Carolyn Myatt, Phyllis Goad, Blanche Collier, and former customers and employees of Silhouette Beauty Salon.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters Marion (Carl) Roland and Jean (Edward) Lyles.
Pallbearers will be: Jason Lyles, Peyton Prince, Damien Prince, Chad Prince, Cody Prince, and Jamie Prince.
Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Roland, Todd Prince, Randy Ayers, B.J. Fitzgerald, Joey Allen, Wayne Harvey, and Larry Hunnicutt.
