Elizabeth Ann "Beth" Pullum, 79, of McAlester, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at a local nursing home. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home. Funeral services are set for Friday, August 1, at 10:00 a.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester.

Elizabeth Pullum was born on June 19, 1946 in Bache to Archie and Alice (Morrow) DeWees. She grew up here and has lived here virtually all her life. She was married to Johnny Pullum, and he preceded her in death. Beth worked a few jobs early in her life, but most of her adult life has been serving others in volunteer work. For years she volunteered at McAlester Regional Health Center and at KIBOIS. She loved reading to the young children and became affectionately known as "Granny Beth".

Beth is survived by her children, Jimmy Higgins and Christy, David Nail and Celeste, Thomas Higgins, and Cindy Halfacre; numerous grandchildren; and a sister, Audrey DeWees. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a daughter, Marie, and several siblings.
