With profound sorrow and deep gratitude for a life beautifully lived, our cherished matriarch, Lois Lee Gentry Pullum entered rest on July 26, 2025.

Born on May 1, 1949, in Marydale, Mississippi of Leake County, to Ruby Winters and late Thomas Alvenus Gentry. She was raised by the late Thomas Alvenus and Dorothy Mae Gentry. Lois was a beacon of grace, wisdom, and steadfast love. She was a proud graduate of Tipton Street School, where her passion for learning took root; a passion that later blossomed into a lifelong calling as an educator. Her leagacy lives on in every child whose heart and mind she touched.

On October 30, 1970, Lois married the love of her life, Wendell Fredrick Pullum. Together, they built a home steeped in love, faith, and family. Their union was blessed with two devoted children, whose lives were shaped by their mother's unshakable support, gentle strength, and quiet wisdom.

Lois was a faithful member of Buffalo United Methodist Church in Kosciusko MS, where she humbly served as a Youth Sunday School Teacher. Her love for God and His Word radiated in every lesson she taught, every prayer she prayed, and every soul she nurtured.

She was not only a mother, a wife and a teacher she was a guiding light, a nurturer of dreams, a quiet warrior of kindness and faith. Her legacy continues in the lives of her children and grandchildren, who will carry her memory as a compass through life's journey.

She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Gentry, and her stepmother, Dorothy May Gentry, both of Kosciusko Mississippi. She was also preceded in death by her siblings: Robert Winters and Ruby Irving of Kosciusko, Mississippi; Dorothy Jean Gentry of Ethel Mississippi; Robert Charles Winters and Bonnie Ruth Pate of Detroit MI; and Arletha Winters and Beverly Bryant of Jackson, MS.

Lois leaves to cherish her loving memory her devoted husband, Wendell Frederick Pullum, of Kosciusko MS; Four beloved siblings: Zenoria Harper, Billy Luckett (Michelle), and Ollie Luckett, all of Jackson, MS, and Dorothy Foster (Terry) of Kosciusko MS.

She is also survived by her two children, Terrence Pullum and Freda Pullum, both of Kosciusko, MS; Stepchildren: Anthony Pullum (Melody), Patrick Pullum, and Alicia Pullum them (Vic) all of Chicago, IL; and Charles Williams of Kosciusko, MS.

She was the proud grandmother of three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, and she also leaves behind a host of loving nieces, nephews commas cousins, extended family, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
