Elizabeth "Betty" Quickenton

Quickenton, Elizabeth "Betty" LOUDONVILLE Elizabeth " Betty" A. Quickenton, 90, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2021. She was born on February 10, 1931, the daughter of the late James and Anna McHugh in Albany. Betty was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her greatest joys were the times she spent with her family. She enjoyed (and did very well) on her trips to the casino, especially Mohegan Sun. She will be remembered for her kind spirit, wonderful sense of humor and genuine love of life. Betty is survived by her beloved husband of over 68 years, George Quickenton; daughter, Lisa Spooner (Mike); son-in-law, John Kelsch; grandchildren, Rachael Rousseau, and Christine Kelsch; and her close friend who became like family, Marie Tucker; five great-grandchildren and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her daughter, Patricia Kelsch; her brother, Harold McHugh and her sister, Rosemary Kelly. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, December 7, from 4-6 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. A funeral service to celebrate her life will be on Wednesday, December 8, at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
