Elizabeth ("Liz") Scrabeck Reed, 67, of Rochester, Minnesota passed away on June 23, 2025 following a lengthy illness.
She was born September 2, 1957 in Rochester, the daughter of Kathleen (Jackson) Scrabeck and Leonard Scrabeck. Liz attended high school in Plainview, Minnesota.
She married Phil Poisell in 1978 and they had one son, Andrew. Liz and Phil were later divorced.
Liz held many positions over the years including jobs in the food industry and as a caregiver. In addition to Minnesota, Liz lived in Missouri and Wisconsin.
She dearly loved her family, and they affectionately called her "Booper" from the time she was a toddler. Her grandsons were the light of her life. She had many friends and enjoyed singing, shopping for special knickknacks, and watching movies. She enjoyed her cats and the companionship they brought her.
Cherishing Liz's memory are her son Andrew (Jenny) Poisell, grandsons Alex (Anjelica), Dylan, Kieran and Andrew Jr. Poisell, sisters Kitty Grubb, Patty (Rick) Engler, Pauline Peterson and Suzanne (Robin) Musolf, brothers Dan (Sheila) Scrabeck and Troy Scrabeck, three great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, step-father Rollo Horsman, sister Angie Horsman, nephew Anthony Engler, great-niece Aryn Jackson, and brother-in-law George Grubb.
