Elizabeth Ann Reinert, age 63 of Newton, IA, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2025, at her residence in Newton. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 23, 2025, at the Greenwood-Schubert Funeral Home in Cherokee, IA. Father Dan Rupp will officiate. Burial will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Cherokee, IA. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The Greenwood-Schubert Funeral Home in Cherokee, IA is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.greenwoodfuneral.com.
Elizabeth Ann (Liz) Reinert, the daughter of Floyd P. and Hilda C. (Henke) Reinert was born November 30, 1961, in Cherokee, IA. Her childhood years were spent in Cherokee, IA. She attended Immaculate Conception School in her elementary years. She went to Wahington High School in Cherokee. She attended Western Iowa Tech and received a degree as a LPN. She also attended Des Moines Community College and studied marketing management.
Elizabeth's best friend and companion was her dog, Molly. When she passed, she could not replace her.
On Saturday, May 10, 2025, Elizabeth passed away at her residence in Newton, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Hilda Reinert; brothers, Ralph and Mike Reinert; step-mother, Evelyn Reinert; grandparents, Joe and Julia Henke and Peter and Emma Reinert.
She is survived by her brothers, Phil (Sharon) Reinert, Paul (Susan) Reinert, John (Lori) Reinert, Dale (Lisa) Reinert, and Peter (Janet) Reinert, one sister, Mary Jo (Ted) Cline; sisters-in-law, Janet (Ralph) Reinert and Brenda (Mike) Reinert; and many nieces and nephews.
