Elizabeth M. "Lyz" Ringer, 65, of Fultonville, NY, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2024 at Albany Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. Lyz was born on February 17, 1959 in Oregon.
On January 24, 1998 Lyz was united in marriage to Roger C. Ringer of Hudson, NY. The couple shared a total of 34 wonderful years together, until Roger's passing on May 29, 2020.
Lyz worked as an assistant manager for Price Chopper for over ten years. She started her career with Price Chopper in Hudson. After several years, Lyz and Roger moved to the Fultonville area, where she worked for Price Chopper in Amsterdam. After leaving Price Chopper, Lyz worked at the Target Distribution Center for several years, until her retirement.
Throughout her life, Lyz always enjoyed cooking and baking, especially for her children and granddaughter, who were the center of her universe. She also enjoyed watching television in her free time, especially cooking shows, where she got a lot of her inspiration from, and murder-mystery series. For the past few years, Lyz also cherished sharing Saturday movie nights with her eldest son.
She leaves behind her loving family, including her sons, Nathaniel and Brendan Ringer; her granddaughter, Remy Ringer; her father, Roger Fox; her siblings, Matthew Egan, Tammy (Brian) Post, and Theresa Duffek; her sister-in-law, Monica Fox; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Aside from her beloved husband Roger, Lyz was preceded in passing by her mother, Phyllis Fox; her daughter, Nicole Fox; and her sister, Patricia Onativia.
Funeral services will be held privately, at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Home, 15 Main Street, Fultonville, NY 12072.
