Elizabeth Ann Roach

Elizabeth Ann Cook Roach, of Burlington, passed away at AuthoraCare Hospice in Burlington on Saturday, December 20, 2025. A native of Alamance County, she was born on August 30, 1955 to Lester S. Cook and Josephine Rupinski Cook, both deceased. Throughout her working years she could be found waitressing tables, most notably at Grill Worx and Waffle House here in Alamance County.

Those left behind to cherish her memory begin with her children; one son, David Roach and a daughter; Paula Weicht and her husband Jared. She is also survived by two brothers, Sammy and John Cook and two sisters, Christine Flinchum and Patricia Jarrett. She was especially fond of her 3 grandchildren and her 6 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to send a special thanks to the Alamance County Cancer Center Staff, Staff of Peak Resources in Graham, Staff at the Hospice Home and a special thankyou to Kristy and the comfort team at Alamance Regional Medical Center.

The family will hold a service to celebrate her life at a later date.
