Elizabeth Marie Simmons

Elizabeth 'Marie' Simmons, 74, of Live Oak, FL passed away on November 24, 2025. Marie was born in Bartow, FL and worked for several years as a CNA but her primary role was a homemaker, mother, and wife. She enjoyed all kinds of crafts and shopping with her daughter or friends at antique shops and thrift stores. The mountains were one of her favorite places to travel and she liked music, but nothing quite as much as Elvis. Marie enjoyed spending time with her family and meeting her sister Elaine for lunch on most Fridays. Her family knew her as a beautiful, caring, loving wife, mother, and grandmother who was loyal to her family and driven by her faith. She was a member of New Life Center Outreach Ministries, Lake City, FL.

Marie is survived by her husband of 30 years: Lawrence 'Larry' Simmons; daughters: Penny Berry, Kimberly (Sammy) Buchanan, Kaeryn (Jesse) Hicks; sons: Thomas Jenkins, Vincent Green; sister: Elaine (Leroy) McDaniel; grandchildren: Asia (Jon) Dasher, Corey (Ari) Kendrick, Matthew (Rebecca) Buchanan, Sarah Berry, Jimmy (Lyndsey) Berry, Carlyi (Cole) Crews, Morgan Wise; 10 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

There will be a service to celebrate her life on Friday, November 28, 2025 at 3pm at Daniels Funeral Home, Branford, FL. A visitation will be held from 2-3pm. Interment will follow at Santa Fe Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her parents.
