Elizabeth B. Stern
Elizabeth B. (Brown) Stern, 96, of Norristown, PA, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2025.
Elizabeth (Liz) was born in Norristown, PA, on August 2, 1929, the daughter of the late Rawle H. and Helen (Fennel) Brown. Liz had lived in Norristown all her life.
She was a devoted member of St. Paul's RC Church, where she was active in the Saint Paul's Women's Guild, the Altar Society, Eucharistic Ministry, Martha's Choice Food Cupboard, and the Charismatics Group. Liz was well known for her homemade candy, which was sought after each year at St. Paul's annual Christmas Bazaar.
She was the wife of the late Richard A. Stern, Sr.
Survivors include her sons Richard A. (Michele) Stern, Jr. of Naples, FL, Edward A. (Kimberly) Stern of Plymouth Meeting, PA, and daughter Elizabeth Anne (Thomas) Catalano of Ambler, PA. She is also survived by her grandchildren Stephen Stern, Jeffrey Stern, Andrew Catalano, Kristin Catalano, Scott Catalano, and Sydney Stern.
Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings Margaret Anders, Robert Brown, Kathryn Lawler, and Alfred Brown.
Her Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Paul's RC Church, 2007 New Hope Street, Norristown, PA. Friends may call on the same day from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the church.
Interment will take place at St. Patrick Cemetery, East Norriton, PA.
Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St. Paul's RC Church, 2007 New Hope Street, Norristown, PA 19401.
