Dr. Elizabeth Strenkowski Ph.D.

1949 - 2026

Dr. Elizabeth (DeChurch) Strenkowski, PhD, 76, of Murrysville, passed away peacefully Friday, Feb. 6, 2026, at Forbes Hospital in Monroeville after a long illness. She was born on April 20, 1949, in Homer City, a daughter of the late Lawrence and Helen (Sara) DeChurch. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Rocco DeChurch; and her sister, Nicola DeChurch Alderson. In her life, Elizabeth loved her family deeply and enjoyed riding motorcycles with her husband and being part of the Harley owners' group "Latrobe HOG." She is survived by her loving husband, John A. Strenkowski; her son, Anthony J. Strenkowski; a grandson, Hudson Strenkowski; her brother, Lawrence (Victoria) DeChurch; sisters-in-law, Tina Filoromo and Lucille Howell; her nephews, Daniel DeChurch and Glenn Ference; and her niece, Alexis Geissler. Visitation for Elizabeth will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2026, at HART FUNERAL HOME INC., Murrysville. Parting prayers will be at 9:15 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2026, at the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Mary, Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Export.
