Elizabeth Lynn White, age 59, of Mandan, passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at home, surrounded by her family.
She was an enrolled member of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe. Elizabeth was born to the late Albert Ironroad and Serena (Eagleboy) Ironroad on February 21, 1966, in San Francisco, CA. Elizabeth first met Chip while working as a dispatcher for the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe. Chip was a police officer for the Bureau of Indian Affairs. She married Gerald (Chip) White Jr. on April 15, 1994, in Bismarck, North Dakota.
They raised their family in Fort Yates. She enjoyed walking in nature with her grandchildren, cycling, and staying fit. Her priority was her family. She worked full-time while taking college classes; she was driven to succeed through education while taking care of her family.Elizabeth was the first in her family to earn a Bachelor of Science degree and a Business Administration degree while pursuing her master's. She loved playing bingo, even if it was by herself or with her grandchildren. Elizabeth enjoyed painting and gardening around her home.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald, her four children, Stephanie Rainbow of Chicago, Matthew Franco of Chicago, Christopher Franco of Mandan, and Elizabeth (Andrew) White of Bismarck. Eight grandchildren, Kingston Rainbow, Kailey Rainbow, Aiden Franco, Tajon Franco, Maria BearStops, Jeramiah BearStops, Lilly Franco, Kadence One Feather.
She is preceded in death by her son Kyle Ironroad, seven brothers, Bob, Bill, Albert Jr., Perry, Timothy Sr., Gary, and Michael, and one sister, Beverly.
Memorial services will be held 2 pm on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Parkway Funeral Home, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck.
