Rose Anne White formerly of Nicholson, PA left this earth peacefully on Friday, November 21, 2025 at St. Mary’s Villa in Elmhurst, PA.
Born August 16, 1935 in Lancaster, PA she was the daughter of the late George W. and Margaret B. (Eckert) Schanerberger. She was a graduate of McCaskey High School. Prior to retirement, Rose Anne was an employee of CMC Medical Center in Scranton, PA for many years.
Rose Anne lived a full life enjoying many activities and sports over the years including camping and skiing. She was active with the National Ski Patrol, American Red Cross, YWCA. Later in life she enjoyed doing genealogy research and became a member of the DAR in 2010. She enjoyed time in the Rehoboth Beach, DE area, playing Mahjong, spending time with her Red Hat Society friends.
Surviving is a daughter, Laurie White (Aggie) of Allport and son Toby White (Jodi) of Clarks Summit. Also surviving are grandchildren - John (Jennifer) Mecca, Justin White, Hanna White and 3 great-grandchildren that will miss her.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Kris L. Mecca, granddaughter Kristen L. Mecca and son-in-law John R. Mecca. She was also preceded in death by her life partner Robert “Bob” Marolf in 2006.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to all of the staff of St. Mary's Villa. Their professionalism, care and compassion helped make Rose Anne's time there comfortable.
Following a private funeral, interment will be at Woodward Hill Cemetery in Lancaster, PA.
