Larry D. Ness passed away on November 21, 2025, after six months in rehabilitation hospice care, he was 75 years old.
Born June 23, 1950, in Lancaster, PA, he was the son of the late Donald and Bessie (Bealler) Ness. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Linda Ness.
Larry graduated from J.P. McCaskey High School in 1968 and attended Philco/Ford Technical Institute in Philadelphia.
Same as his father, Larry spent time as a TV repairman and also was employed at Armstrong World Industries, Lancaster Newspaper and eventually retired from Manheim Auto Auction after 19 years of employment.
He loved playing youth baseball as a pitcher and third basemen for various championship teams including Anderson Pretzels and Local 285. In his later years, he also enjoyed playing adult softball and golf including a hole in one in 2018. He was also an avid Phillies and Eagles fan.
A memorial gathering will be held at American Legion Post 34 where he was a member.
