Elizabeth White Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brater-Winter Funeral Home (Harrison) on Mar. 30, 2026.
It is with deep sorrow "yet celebratory hearts" that we announce the passing of Elizabeth Jane White, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, who peacefully departed this life on March 27, 2026, at the remarkable age of 103. Born on September 8, 1922, in New Trenton, Indiana, Elizabeth was the cherished daughter of the late Henry "Clarence" and Sarah "Louisa" (née King) Roberts.

Elizabeth was a devoted wife to her late husband, Norman White, to whom she was married for 51 years and built a loving family. Blessed with four daughters-Karen, Norma, Shirley, and the late infant Angela-she led her family with grace, compassion, and a steadfast faith in Jesus Christ. As a charter member of Harrison Avenue Baptist Church, now known as Grace Church, Elizabeth devoted her life to serving others, whether it was preparing heartfelt meals for those in need or uplifting her fellow church members with her prayers and kindness.

A true homemaker at heart, Elizabeth's legacy shines in the many cherished family memories of baking Christmas cookies, cooking delightful meals, and camping adventures at local campgrounds. Her love for the Cincinnati Reds brought excitement to her days, and her garden flourished under her green thumb. An accomplished seamstress, she learned the value of making things last-a lesson she modeled for all who knew her.

Elizabeth's vibrant spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of her daughters and sons-in-law: Karen Sue (John) Stoeckel, Norma Lou (Jim) Kuehn, and Shirley Jane (DJ) Lowrie; wonderful grandchildren: Tama Stoeckel, Daren (Jen) Stoeckel, Erin Sandlin, Josh (Sommer) Kuehn, Nate (Kailey Kinnett) Kuehn, Amber (Ryan) Ford, Brett (Beth) Lowrie and Tanner Lowrie; cherished great grandchildren: Tyler (Lindsey), and Noah Stoeckel, Savannah (Zach Williams), and Emily Sandlin, Dylan (Brooke), Chase, Sianna, Oaklee, and Everlee Kuehn, Jay, Casey, Normah Joe, and Colter Ford, Jaina and Kayla Lowrie; and great great grandchildren: Lillie Williams and Frances Stoeckel who brought immense joy to her life.

Elizabeth is now reunited with her beloved husband, Norman; her infant daughter, Angela; her parents; and her sister, Gertrude Loos, in eternal peace.

Friends and family are invited to honor Elizabeth's remarkable life during visitation at Grace Church, located at 1125 Harrison Ave., Harrison, Ohio, on Saturday, April 4, 2026, from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12 p.m. Following the service, a graveside ceremony will take place at Gibson Cemetery, where we will lay her to rest.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Interum Healthcare, with the funeral home available to assist with donations during visitation. For those unable to attend, donations can be mailed to Brater Winter Funeral Home, 201 S. Vine Street, Harrison, OH, with checks payable to the charity. The family will be notified of your generous support.

As we celebrate Elizabeth's remarkable life, let us carry forward her legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering faith, forever inspired by her example.
