Elizar is preceded in death by his parents, Elizar Sr. and Margarita C. Martinez, and his sisters Joanne Chavez, Frances Suniga, Sylvia Martinez, and Angie Gatica.
Elizar is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Isabel A. Martinez, and their four children, Leticia, Christina, Roxanne (Mike Velasco), and Eli Eric Martinez. Elizar is also survived by his grandchildren, Leia Aurelia, Evelyn June, and Grayson Liam, and his sisters; Margaret Vera, Terry (Mitchell) Arredondo, Brenda Garcia, Dalia Resendez.
Services will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Trevino Funeral Home. A Visitation will be held from 10:00am - 11:00am with the Chapel Service to be held by Deacon Roger Rosenbaum at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Skidmore, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Miguel Velasco, Geronimo Cantu, Porfirio Cantu Jr., Dylan Cantu, Ricardo Maldonado Jr., and Joe Garcia. Honorary pallbearer will be Grayson Liam.
