Ella Brunker, 78, of Oshkosh WI, previously Lexington KY, passed away peacefully on January 10th, 2026, surrounded by love.
She was born on March 19th, 1947 in Bourbon County, Kentucky.
She lived a full and beautiful life. To those who knew her, she was fiercely independent, warm and quick to chat with anyone. She adored raising Maltese puppies and her dog grooming business. She treasured her time with her beloved dogs. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to many. She will be remembered most for her outgoing nature and vivaciousness for life.
Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and her puppies or going out for a fancy meal. Her love lives on through those who survive her including her 2 daughters and 10 grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as many family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ernest C. Brunker.
The family would like to express deep gratitude to the Aurora hospital staff and hospice team, for their compassion and care during her final days. A special thank you to her wonderful neighbors Lydia and Diane for taking such wonderful care of her throughout her time here and continuing care for her beloved dog, Baby. A heartfelt thank you to her sister, Judi Finn, for flying in to be with her in her final days. Judi’s presence brought peace to everyone during this time.
To respect her wishes a service will not be held. A small, private memorial will be held in late spring when she is brought to rest beside her husband.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
