Ella Mae Lathan, age 91, passed away on January 8, 2026. She was born on May 11, 1934, in Albany, Kentucky.

Ella was known as a woman with a big heart and an even bigger love for cooking. She was always in the kitchen, joyfully preparing meals, baking cakes, cookies, and fudge, especially for children and their friends. Cooking was more than a skill for her — it was a way she showed love, and she was truly amazing at it. Many people grew up remembering the warmth of her home and the treats she lovingly shared.

Ella was a faithful member of Daleville First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, Rodger Boykin, Tommy G. Lathan, Robin Lathan Campbell, and Joe Lathan. She is also survived by her sons-in-law, Jeff Perkins, Ron Campbell, and Scott Kruger; and her daughters-in-law, Melinda Lathan, Melissa Anderson Lathan, and Jennifer Fort.

Ella leaves behind cherished grandchildren: Trevor Ramsey, Kegan Thor Ramsey, Ryan Rankin, Austin Lathan, Hunter Lathan, Noland Stahlenburg, Hawk Lathan, Chloe Aynes, Abigale Anderson, Valerie Anderson, Shawn Snieder, and Wink Lathan.

Ella Mae will be remembered for her generous spirit, her love of feeding others, and the countless memories made around her table. Her legacy lives on through the lives she touched and the family who loved her deeply.
