Ella M. McGill passed away peacefully on September 16, 2025, at Valley Hospice-Liza's Place. Born on September 22, 1929, in Benwood, West Virginia, she was just shy of her 96th birthday at the time of her passing.

Her interests were deeply rooted in her family and her church, and she was a devout member of St. John Catholic Church in Benwood. In addition to her church involvement, Ella was a member of the Benwood Firefighter's Auxiliary and the Benwood American Legion Auxiliary.

Ella was preceded in death by her husband, Richard McGill; her grandson, Stephen McGill; her parents, Robert and Elizabeth (Conrad) Smith; and her siblings: Mary Louise Greathouse, Robert "Buzzy" Smith, Elizabeth "Betty" Long, Margaret Merryman, Theresa Risden, Alfred Smith, Rita "Jeanie" Radcliff, Paula Ruth Smith, Bertha Shrumpf, Patricia Ann Smith, John Paul Smith, Nancy Hawk, Michael Smith, James "Jimbo" Smith, Sandra "Sissy" James, and Edward Smith.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Jamie (James) Druschel, Terry (Jack) Huggins, Shelia McGill, and Mickey (Joe) Sedinger; her stepson, Michael McGill; 9 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren; as well as a sister, Paula (Patsy) Taylor.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in her honor at St. John Catholic Church in Benwood, WV, on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., officiated by Father Doney Chacko. Following the service, interment will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Wheeling, WV.
