Ella Morgan Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cater Funeral Home on Dec. 7, 2025.
Ella Mae (Lynn) Morgan, 76, of Moberly, Missouri, passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior, December 4, 2025. Born , July 29, 1949, to the late Walter and Bertha Lynn. She spent her life giving more love than she ever asked for in return.
On June 10, 1967, she married the love of her life, Dennis Morgan. Their 53 years together were filled with devotion, laughter, and unwavering partnership. Dennis preceded her in death on April 5, 2021, and there is comfort in knowing they are reunited once again.
Ella was also preceded in death by her parents, siblings Margrete Kitchen, Irene Gilispie, and Betty Givens; her daughter Lori Bowen; and her grandson Brandon Bowen.
Those who loved her most will forever carry her memory: her children Stephanie (James) Phipps of Excello, Timmy (Erin) Morgan of Moberly, and Dewayne Morgan of Moberly; her sister Darlene Briggs of Moberly; and her brother Thomas (Nancy) Lynn of Moberly.
Her heart lived on through her grandchildren Corey (Heather) Phipps, Zach (Chelsea) Morgan, Sadie (Kelle) Prather, Brandon, Breana, and Brilynn Morgan, Britney Bowen, Brandy Morgan, and Mariah Smothers; as well as her treasured great-grandchildren Landon, Josiah, Korbyn, and Zalie Phipps, Ezekiel, Grayson, and Arya Morgan, and Dutton and Cooper Prather. Ella is also survived by many other beloved family members and friends who were touched by her warmth and kindness.
Ella was a gentle, giving soul-a devoted homemaker and caretaker whose home was always filled with warmth. She adored Christmas, cherished Hallmark movies, and found her greatest joy in simply being with her family. She made every person feel special, every gathering feel brighter, and every day feel a little more loved.
Her family finds peace in knowing that although she is no longer here in body, her love surrounds them still. Her legacy lives on in the kindness she taught, the memories she created, and the hearts she shaped.
"Forever Loved, Always Remembered."

Words of comfort and support may be shared with the family at a visitation to be held Friday, December 12, 2025, 12pm - 1pm at the Cater Funeral Home Chapel, to be followed by a funeral service honoring Mrs. Morgan's life at 1pm. Committal prayer and burial will take place at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Jacksonville.
