I remember cousin Ellen from high school days. We all went to Omaha Central High School, where the great Gayle Sayers attended and was a star. I recall that Ellen knew Gayle and was always excited about his career. Of course she went on to love sports in Nebraska and then Iowa, where she moved. She was always very kind to me and my brother, Ed, and adored our grandfather, Abe Schneider.
