Ellen N. Connors, 93, of Willow Valley and formerly of Chester County, entered into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 15, 2025. Born in Kingston, PA, she was the daughter of the late Daniel L. and Mae (Reese) Williams.
Ellen found great joy in raising her children while assisting her former husband in operating their thoroughbred stable. Later in life, she worked for Vanguard Investments. She was proud of her Welsh heritage and enjoyed traveling with her children and friends, as well as spending time at the beach and country line dancing.
Ellen had a servant's heart and volunteered in many capacities, including at Longwood Gardens, her church's Vacation Bible School, and as a resident of Willow Valley. She was a devoted grandmother and was a faithful past member of Paoli Presbyterian Church, and more recently was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Lancaster. She lived her faith and was generous with her time and resources, including taking a trip to Israel and Egypt to deliver medical supplies and mission trips with Habitat for Humanity to rebuild areas impacted by natural disasters.
Ellen is survived by her children: Nancy Dwyer (Tim), Susan Broomell (Mark), Robert Connors, and Laurie Prysock. Also surviving are grandchildren: Allison Dwyer, Brian Dwyer, Matthew Dwyer, Samuel Broomell, Thomas Broomell, William Prysock, Benjamin Prysock, Gavin Connors, and Owen Prysock. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Claire Ellen Broomell and her former husband Robert F. Connors.
A Celebration of Life will take place at Willow Valley North, Johnson Auditorium, 3rd Floor, 600 Willow Valley Sq., Lancaster, PA 17602 on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at 2:00 p.m.
Traditional interment will be private in the Quarryville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a gift to the Clinic for Special Children, 20 Community Ln., Gordonville, PA 17529, a cause that Ellen cared deeply about and supported in many ways.
