Ellen Frye Obituary
Ellen C. Frye, 79 of Dickerson Run, passed away at her home on February 10, 2024. She was born on September 7, 1944, in Upper Tryone Township, PA. a daughter of the late Pasquale and Helen (Wisniewski) Gismondi.
Ellen graduated from Scottdale High School Class of 1962 was employed as a nursing assistant at Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.
Surviving are her three children, Kelly Evans (Larry), James Frye III, and Gina Frye (Doby Stevenson) who cared for her mother during her recent illness. Ellen's grandchildren - Tyler Evans, Travis and Katie Frye, and Noah Stevenson. Ellen is also survived by her sisters: Paulette Shirley, Kathleen Terhorst, Judy Jacquillard (Jet), brother Martin Gismondi (Paula), and several nieces and nephews.
May she have everlasting peace in the reunion with her husband, Jim, and with cherished loved ones.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James F. Frye, Jr on May 18, 2019, her sister, Patricia Spisso, infant sister Miriam Gismondi and infant brother Patsy Gismondi.
A Memorial Gathering to celebrate Ellen's life will be held on February 20, 2024, at Graft -Jacquillard Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 303 Pittsburgh St., Scottdale, PA 15683. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects and share memories between the hours of 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM.
