Ellen Hall Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ellen D. Hall, a cherished wife, sister, sister-in-law, and member of the community. Ellen departed this world and entered the Gates of Heaven on August 15, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family.

Ellen was born on August 2,1951, in Louisville, Kentucky, to her loving parents, Len and Lilly Mildred (Lee) Marr, Sr. She grew up in Jeffersonville, IN and graduated from Jeffersonville High School in 1969. Ellen was a dedicated professional who found fulfillment in her work over the years. She worked with her sister at Archer Consultation Services in North Vernon, Indiana, and alongside her husband, Carl, co-pastored the Lasting Life Thrift Store and JOY (Just Older Youth). Additionally, she was a cherished member of Evangel North Church in Clarksville, IN, where she found solace and joy in her faith.

Ellen's passion for life extended beyond her career and into her personal interests. She found joy in riding horses and listening to Southern Gospel Quartets. However, her most significant source of strength and happiness came from her unwavering faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Ellen was known for her compassionate heart, always offering prayers for those around her and generously giving to those in need.

In her 73 years of life, Ellen touched the hearts of many and leaves behind a legacy of love and faith. She is survived by her devoted husband of 51 years, Carl Hall, her brother Len Marr, Jr., her brother Jerry (Janie) Marr, her sister Sue (Tom) Holt, her brother-in-law Lester Hall, her sister-in-law Dorece Romans, and her loyal furbaby, Jubilee., and numerous, nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

Ellen's memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace, reunited with her beloved parents in eternal grace.

A Celebration of Life for Ellen will be at Evangel North Church at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 14, 2024.

The family requests that donations be made in Ellen's memory to Evangel North Church, 1732 Thames Drive, Clarksville, IN 47129.
