Ellen Elizabeth Miller

Ellen Elizabeth Miller, 74, of Brighton passed away on Friday, February 20, 2026, in the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.

Ellen was born in Baltimore, Maryland, a daughter of the late, long time Lunenburg residents, Frank Clifton and Marion L. (Freeman) Miller. She graduated from Lunenburg high school in 1969 and attended Colby College, Brandeis University and ultimately in 1985 received from Boston University, a Master's degree in Social Work with a Certificate of Gerontological Studies.

Ellen was kind, insightful and a generous person. These qualities served her well during her 24-year career as a renal social worker at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Brighton. In semi-retirement, she worked part-time in her own business, "Older Adult Companionship Service".

Ellen is survived by her brother, Charles F. Miller, and his wife, Marie (Surprenant) Miller of Wrentham, and her sister Dorothy M. Sang of Brookline; a sister-in-law, Hilary V. (Brown) Miller of Louisville, KY, and five nieces, four nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by a brother F. Clifton Miller, Jr., formerly of Scio, NY.

A graveside service will be held in the North Cemetery in Lunenburg at a date and time to be announced.
