Ellen A. Nunamaker

October 30, 1946 - December 24, 2025

Ellen A. Nunamaker passed away Dec. 24, 2025 at the Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach, Missouri. She had been ill for a week.

She was born Oct. 30, 1946 in Bloomington, Illinois. The oldest daughter of Doyle R. and Betty Jane (Herman) Garlock. They preceded her in death.

Ellen graduated from Tri-Valley High School, Downs, Illinois, and was a former resident of Ellsworth, Illinois, her hometown where she grew up and also lived there with her husband before moving to Missouri.

She married Marlin L. Nunamaker Feb. 28, 1978 in Watseka, Illinois. He died on Sept. 26, 2005.

She is survived by four sisters. Lona Juers, Lois (Jim) Soeldner, Sharon (Rick) Suhadolc, and Karen (Curt) Haynes. One Aunt in California, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and cousins.

Per her wishes she was cremated and no visitation.

The Allee Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Camdenton, Mo. was in charge of her arrangements.

Ellen and Marlin moved to Camdenton, Mo., in 1992. She worked various jobs in the Camdenton area.

Ellen enjoyed her friends and neighbors and led a simple life near the Lake of the Ozarks.

Thank you to the Lake Regional Hospital doctors and ICU staff for their compassionate care.

Also, a thank you to Pat Kraft for her friendship through the years.
