Ellen J. Pratt 89 passed away peacefully following a long illness on June 1, 2024. She was born in Colchester Vermont on June 19, 1934, to the late Vernon & Isola Jaro.
Ellen worked at the Merchants Bank for almost 40 years where she developed many lasting friendships.
Ellen enjoyed gardening, crocheting, reading, and doing jigsaw puzzles with her friends & family.
She is survived by her children Daniel, Michael, Lori, Linda & William, many grandchildren & great grandchildren. Her brother Mark Jaro and her dearest friend Agnes Barry.
She was predeceased by her spouse Frederic (Joe) Pratt, sister Shirley Perry, brother-in-law Robert Perry, sister-in-law Patricia Jaro and her special companion Lyman Russin.
Ellen's life was a testament to love, laughter, and compassion. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace knowing that she left an indelible mark on the hearts of those she touched.
Friends and family are invited to attend the visitation service scheduled for June 14th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Minor Funeral and Cremation Center in Milton. The graveside service will take place at St Ann Cemetery on June 15th starting at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Humane Society of Chittenden County, 142 Kindness Ct., So. Burlington, VT 05403 in Ellen's name.
