Andrew John "Andy" Blackmore

Andrew "Andy" John Blackmore a lifelong Georgia resident and farmer passed away Monday February 2, 2026.

Born in Burlington on April 30, 1982, he was the son of Alonzo "Butch" and Joan (Wimble) Blackmore. Andy was 43 years old.

Andy graduated from Bellows Free Academy in Fairfax in 2000. He worked for a time at Milton Rental and Sales and went on to own and operate his own farm "Blackmore Farms." He enjoyed being outdoors cutting wood, sugaring and was known to many as easy going, could trouble shoot just about anything and fix it and many looked forward to his yearly pig roasts.

Survivors include his parents, Butch and Joan; his wife, Danielle (Preece) Blackmore, their 2 daughters, Layla Ann and Bailey Jo Blackmore, his brother, Alonzo Blackmore, II and his wife, Christine, sister, Kimberly Donahue and her husband, Thomas, as well as his niece, Emma Rae Lynn Blackmore, special cousin, Rich Palmer and best friend, William Longe.

Andy is also survived by his in-laws, Gary and Louise Preece, many extended family, friends and his canine companion, Ralph.

Andy's family will receive family and friends on Thursday, February 12, 2026, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main Street, St. Albans. As orange was Andy's favorite color those attending are encouraged to wear orange.
