Ellen M. Salzberg

Ellen Marie Salzberg, 69, of Beloit, WI, passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2024 at UW Hospital of Madison.
She was born on March 4, 1955 in Chicopee Falls, MA, the daughter of Karl and Joan (McDermott) Salzberg. Ellen was a 1973 Beloit Catholic High School graduate. She attended the University of Wisconsin Madison. Ellen married Philip Kinsey and together they had two children.
Ellen was formerly a childcare provider and loved all of the kids she was able to watch over the years. She later became the Kitchen Manager for the School District of Beloit. Ellen was an avid reader and could often be found with a book in her hands. She loved being in nature and bird watching. Ellen had a green thumb and the most beautiful flower garden. She had a huge heart and thrived on taking care of others.
Survivors include her daughter, Marguerite (Hank Voit) Kinsey; son, Andrew Kinsey; mother, Joan Salzberg; brothers, Harold (Cheri) Salzberg and Andrew Salzberg; sister, Amy (John Koopmans) Salzberg; grandson, Hank Voit Jr.; granddaughter, Hazel Voit; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Ellen was predeceased by her father, Karl; special friend, Elif Alseth; and the father of her children, Philip Kinsey.
A Celebration of Life for Ellen will be held at a later date.
