Ms. Ellen Juanita “Neet” Sheppard, age 76, passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, in

Winston Salem, NC. Ms. Ellen was a former educator in the Martin County Schools. Her survivors include one son, William Emanuel of Raleigh, NC; four daughters, Shirley Emanuel and Juanita Amos both of Winston Salem, NC, Bridggett Emanuel-Thompson of Deltona, FL, and Dawn Emanuel of Williamston, NC; one brother, William Sheppard of Sumter, SC; one sister, Zellene Laney of Rocky Mount, NC.

Her public viewing will be held on Saturday October 18, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Green Memorial Church of Christ (DOC) Williamston, NC.

Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Green Memorial Church of Christ (DOC) Williamston, NC. Her interment will follow in Andrews Memorial Park Williamston, NC 27892. Pastor Lester Mitchell will be the eulogist. 

The family requests that in lieu of flowers and tree, donations be made to support Cancer Research by donating directly to the Ora Lee Smith Research Foundation using the link to honor Ellen Juanita "Neet" Sheppard Ora Lee Smith Cancer Research Foundation.
