Ellen Holley Stevens

Mrs. Ellen Holley Rankin Stevens, age 67, passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Loris Rehab and Nursing Center. Born on February 22, 1958, in Conway, SC, she was the daughter of the late Watson Smith Rankin and the late Margaret Emeline Jones Rankin. Holley devoted her life to education. She served as a kindergarten teacher at Loris Elementary School for 32 years, where she helped guide generations of students through their first year of school.

Survivors include her husband, Larry Stevens; son, John Watson Rankin; grandchildren, Addison Rankin, Jacob DeFlieger, and Matthew DeFlieger, and sister, Julia Rankin Hardwick (Dewayne).

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 30, 2026, at Hardwick Memorial Chapel with Mark Stevens officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 30, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, prior to services, at Hardwick Funeral Home.
