Ellen J Stovall

Ellen J. "Diggy" (Hartman) Stovall, age 81, of House Springs, MO, passed on December 30, 2025. Born in Poplar Bluff, Mo, she lived her life dedicated to her family and career as a kindergarten teacher. She was a loving mother and is survived by her 4 children and their spouses, Beverly (Donald) Mesplay, Suzanne (Brian) Hoke, William (Bethany) Stovall, and Matthew Stovall. She was also a loving grandmother known as "Diggy" to eight grandchildren: Emily (Anthony), Allysa (Brennon), Alex, Madeline (Mike), Katherine (Bryce), Julianne, Emma, and Alivia. And loving great grandmother to Eleonora and Everett. Ellen had a 35+ year career as a kindergarten teacher. She loved traveling and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

The family will have a private memorial service. In lieu of flowers or cards, Ellen requests a donation be made to the Living Word Church of the Nazarene located at 4201 Gravois Rd., House Springs, Mo 63051, which she had been a devoted member for over 60 years.
