It is with deep sorrow and immense love that we announce the passing of our cherished mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend to many.

Pansy June Wright Ed.D, RN, age 88, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on March 1, 2026, at Cox Medical Center South. June was born to Floyd and Pansy Litty on June 24, 1937 in Steelville, MO.

June was preceded in death by Dr. Daniel Holmes; parents Floyd and Pansy Litty; son, Brent Hyde and daughter, Tamyra Hyde-Diers, brothers, Gene Litty, Ray Litty, Jim Litty (JoAnn Litty), sister-n-law Jackie Litty, brother-n-law Larry Wegmann.

She is survived by her daughter Kara Simpson of Parker, Colorado, daughter-n-law Peggy Hyde of St. Louis, Missouri, sister, Linda Wegmann (Dave Gabris) of Celebration, Florida, brothers Paul Litty of House Springs, Missouri, Jerry Litty (Sharon) of Gassville, Arkansas and many nieces and nephews.

Grandchildren Danil (Morgan) Arefiev, Connor Simpson, Allie Diers (Nate Love), Sydnie (Max) Stewart, Tanner Diers, Meghan (Ande) Pietoso, Lauren (Joey) Carroll, Kristen (Jack) Patton, Katherine (Blake) Mayfield. Great grandchildren, Luca Arefiev, Henry, Milo, Luca, Stella and Theo Pietoso, JJ, Patrick, Maggie and Cooper Carroll, Jack and Archie Patton, Charlie and George Mayfield.

Graduate of Nursing from Missouri Baptist Hospital 1958, B.S.N from Drury College 1985, M.Ed from Drury College 1988, Certificate of Infection Control 1988, Ed.D (Geriatric Polypharmacy) from California Coast University 2001. She retired from Veterans Affairs 2005, 50 yrs of Nursing 2011 . June had a large influence in the nursing and education programs with Lester E Cox Medical Centers, Ozark Technical College, volunteering her time at Jeffries Jaquar JunctionStore and Grand Oak Mission, Nathaniel Greene Butterfly House, along with many others.

She was the heart of our family – a steady source of warmth, wisdom, and unconditional love. As a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister and friend, she gave selflessly, teaching by examples the values of kindness, resilience and compassion. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her greatest source of pride and accomplishment. She celebrated every milestone, big and small, with boundless joy. Her hugs were healing and her advice was steady. Her love will remain as a guiding light for generations to come.

We will be honoring and celebrating June's life on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at 2:00 pm, at Ridgecrest Baptist Church, 2210 W. Republic Road, Springfield, MO.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that you please consider a gift to either Grand Oak Mission Center or Jeffries Elementary School.
