Ellen Voehringer, nee Layden, age 82 of Hoffman Estates. Loving wife to William Voehringer for 62 wonderful years. Devoted mother to Scott (Luan) Voehringer, Brad Voehringer, the late Darrell (Rose) Voehringer, and the late Mark (Julie) Voehringer. Cherished grandma to Sarah (Dan) Newby, Rebekah (Adam) Hostetter, Faith (Taylor) Long, Miranda (Ian) Garrison, Mia Voehringer, Noah Voehringer, Aidan Voehringer, Matthew Voehringer, and Nena Voehringer. Adored great grandmother to Everly, Merric, Pemberley, Margaret "Maisie", Maylin, Zephaniah, and Phinehas. Dear sister to Leonard (Nancy) Layden. Ellen worked for JC Penney for over 25 years. She loved a good card game with her family and will be deeply missed. A visitation will be held Sunday, January 30, 2022 at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Hwy. Palatine IL from 11:30-12:30pm. A prayer service will be held at 12:30pm. Interment private.
