Elliott Bornstein Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Weil Kahn Funeral Home on Feb. 12, 2026.
Elliott Bornstein, 93, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026. He was born on July 26, 1932, to the late Max and Rose (nee Westerman) Bornstein. Devoted husband of forty-nine years to Rachelle (nee Cina) Bornstein. Loving father to Lori (Charles) Arkin, Cheryl Kocher, and step-son Larry Lewy. Dear grandfather to Michael, Melissa, Francis, Jessica, Cayley, Joshua, Jake, and Benjamin. Elliott also leaves behind a son, David and a host of great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Sigmund and Herbert Bornstein.

After graduating from Everett High School, Everett, Massachusetts, Elliott proudly served in the U.S. Marine Reserves and also the U.S. Airforce. He then attended both Bentley and Suffolk University studying accounting and embarking on a career in auditing and private practice of tax preparation.

Elliott's passions were photography, travel (especially cruises), tennis, serving in charitable organizations, and most recently spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren here in Cincinnati.

The family would like to thank the staff, residents and management of Seasons Retirement Community in Cincinnati for their love and support during this time of grief.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 13 at 11AM at United Jewish Cemetery Loveland (712 Loveland-Miamiville Rd. Miami Twp, OH. 45140) In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jewish War Veterans of the United States of America (jwv.org).

Elliott was more than my stepfather. He was someone I never had before. He was my Dad. We always enjoyed our times together. I remember the time we got sick after eating too much at a food show. But it didn't matter cuz we just had fun together. We always found time for each other. I loved our nights out for dinner. We would talk all night..sometimes man to man but more importantly, dad to son. When I would call Mom, I always had to talk to you. I will always remember our talks and laughter we had over the years. So to you, Dad, you were always the most honest, decent and loved person I've had in my life. Your spirit will love on Dad! G-d bless you! With all my love, your son Larry
