Ellis Smiley Obituary
Butch was born in Baton Rouge on July 25, 1967, and departed from this life on Wednesday January 18, 2023, at the home of his sister and brother-in-law, where he had lived for the past year. He was a carpenter by trade, however, the inventor of being a jack of all trades. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, social time with friends, and was an avid fan of NASCAR.
Butch's heart was softened by his great niece Alaina, who became his best friend and that he loved beyond imagination.
He is preceded in death by his parents Ellis Lionel and Nancy Delanue Smiley.
Survivors include his siblings Sheryl Villneurve (Erroll), Dina Peak (Andy) and Jason Smiley, also survived by nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
