Elly Anna Black

Elly Anna Wulf Black, 95, died Saturday, December 6, 2025, at NHC Healthcare of Sumter.

Born April 14, 1930, in Oldenburg, Germany, she was a daughter of the late Johannes Wehde and the late Wilhelmena Wulf Wehde. She was a member of Northside Memorial Baptist Church. She was an active member for many years with Woodman of the World and volunteered regularly in the community. Elly was a loving mother and grandmother, "Oma," and a beautiful soul who would help anyone. Her radiant smile lit up any room she entered. She enjoyed Gamecock football, took advantage of any reason to dress up in costume and spent many hours with friends playing pinochle and canasta. She lived life to the fullest and especially loved spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include two children, Michael Black (Stephanie) and Pam Scott (Brian); and four grandchildren, Lake Scott, Chandler Scott, Garrett Black, and Henry Black.

A visitation for family and friends will be from 5 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, December 9 at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A private scattering of ashes will be held by the family at a later date.
