Elma Falcon Salas, 85, of Olton, Texas, passed away Friday, September 26, 2025, in Olton. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at Olton Cemetery with Bro. David Azam officiating. Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at Ramage Funeral Directors in Olton.
Elma was born October 1, 1939, in La Casita, Texas, to Hilario Falcon and Catarina Molina. She worked as a seamstress for many in Olton and the surrounding communities, creating dresses and scrubs with her great talent. She also worked at Duncan's Five and Dime in Olton for more than five years, served as a receptionist at Olton Clinic and South Plains Regional for over 25 years, and later retired as a CNA in 2002.
Known as a caring and loving mother, Elma adored her grandchildren and treasured family gatherings. Every Christmas she taught her family how to make tamales, turning it into a cherished tradition. Strong, funny, talkative, and feisty, she set a wonderful example for her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hilario Falcon and Catarina Rodriguez; two brothers, Joe and Tomas; and a son-in-law, Tony Jimenez.
Survivors include her son, Timoteo Salas of Olton; two daughters, Sanny Jimenez of Olton and Lydia Salas of Plainview; a brother, Doroteo Falcon of Dallas; and two sisters, Angelina Mungia of Dallas and Felipita Smith of Wylie.
She was blessed with nine grandchildren: Eddie Arguellez, Valerie Reyes and husband Eric, Patrick Salas, Mike Soliz and wife Kristen, David Salas and wife Summer, Juan Jimenez and wife Courtney, Malorie Rivera and husband Queberto, Crystal Soliz, and Matthew Salas; along with 20 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
