Elma Scott Obituary
Elma C. Scott, 93, of Hamilton, NJ, passed away peacefully, Monday January 5, 2026 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Trenton, NJ, she was a lifelong Hamilton area resident. She was employed as a school nurse at Hamilton High School West for more than 25 years before her retirement. In her spare time, she traveled abroad and led many student trips. She also enjoyed reading, shopping, playing Mahjong and spending time with her family. Elma was a former longtime active member of the Hamilton Square Baptist Church, more recently worshipping at Memorial Baptist in Yardville.
Predeceased by her parents, Clarence and Charlotte Carson; a brother, Elmer Carson; her husband, Horace Scott; her daughter, Elizabeth Scott; and her grandson, Justin Burd; she is survived by her daughters, Amy (Bernard) Scott-Randolph, Meg (Jack) Koeppel; sister, Susan Fanella; two grandchildren and their spouses, Rikki and Dr. Arif Hussain, Sarah and Bill Welsh; eight great grandchildren, Christian, Isabella, Aliyah, Haris, Kaia, Jordan, Jackson and Charlotte; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, January 14, 2026 12:00 p.m. at Memorial Baptist Church, 17 Highland Avenue Yardville, NJ 08620, with the Reverend April Van Ness, officiating.
The family will greet guests from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the Church.
Services under the direction of the Buklad-Merlino Memorial Home, Hamilton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Elma's name may be made to Memorial Baptist Church, 17 Highland Avenue, Yardville, NJ 08620.
