Elmer "Bug" Bryant, passed away on July 22, 2025, in Marietta, Georgia. Born on January 26, 1943, Elmer spent his entire life dedicated to his family, his faith, and his country. A man of honor and integrity, he left an indelible mark of kindness and strength on everyone he encountered.

Elmer's commitment to hard work was evident in his over four decades of service at Tip Top Poultry. His dedication to his job was matched only by his devotion to his country. As a Vietnam Veteran, he served in the US Army with valor and pride, bringing the same sense of duty to his military service as he did to every aspect of his life.

Elmer was a dedicated member at Carmel Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. His faith was the cornerstone of his life, guiding his actions and his interactions with others. Elmer enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed playing horseshoes and gardening. Beyond his hobbies, Elmer was known as a bit of a prankster, always ready to share a laugh or a smile. Despite his playful side, he was a man of his word, exemplifying honesty and reliability in every promise he made.

Above all, Elmer's greatest joy was his family, for whom he was an exemplary provider. His commitment to his loved ones was unwavering, and he led by example, teaching them the value of hard work, the importance of keeping one's word, and the immeasurable worth of giving. Elmer's generous spirit extended beyond his kin, as he was the kind of person who would gladly give the shirt off his back to help those in need.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Anne Bryant; parents, Ed and Lillie Bryant; four brothers; and six sisters.

Elmer is survived by his children, Robert Bryant (Dana), Rhonda Bryant (Luisma Becerra) and Rodney Bryant (Amy); nine grandchildren, Cory Bryant (Megan), Kayla Johnson (Andrew), Alex Bryant, Caitlyn Shirley, Kelsey Silver (Josh), Braylee Bryant, Nirvana Becerra, Jade Becerra and Luie Becerra; five great-grandchildren, Madi Johnson, Kyna Johnson, Logan Bryant, Waylon Johnson, Peyton Bryant and Baby Silver on the way; two sisters, Wylene Hinkle and Thelma Sutton; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 27, 2025 at the Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jordan Runion and Rev. J.R. Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, July 26th from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Sunday, July 27th from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
