Elmer J.Link, Sr., 83, a lifelong resident of Eldersville, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning December 24, 2022 surrounded by his loving family in his home on his beloved farm. He was born on November 10, 1939 a son of the late Robert W. Link, Sr. and Sara M. Kernahan Link. Mr. Link retired on December 31, 1994 from Weirton Steel where he worked for 36 years while also being on the Link Farm since 1944. His loving wife of 63 years, Rose M. Gallo Link who he met in the first grade and married on December 5, 1959 survives. Surviving in addition to his wife are his son Elmer J. Link, Jr. and wife Dawn of Eldersville; his daughter Tammy M. Link of Paris, PA; and his grandson Nicholas J. Link. Deceased in addition to his parents are his brothers Robert W. Link, Jr., William J. Link, Hugh Link and two sisters Helen Jane Orison and Alice Walker. To honor Elmer's wishes, there will be no public visitation or services. Arrangements are under the direction of Slater Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. of BURGETTSTOWN, 73 Highland Avenue, Burgettstown, PA 15021. Because of the exceptional care given to Mr. Link by Amedisys Hospice, memorial donations may be made in his memory to them at 480 Johnson Road, Suite 230, Washington, PA 15301.
