Elmer Shaw Obituary
Dan was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 16, 1942 to the late Elmer and Coral Shaw. He grew up in Southfield, Michigan and was a 1960 graduate of Southfield High School. Following high school, he served proudly in the United States Army in Vietnam.
Dan was an avid golfer and car enthusiast as well as a proud member of E.B.E.W Local 58 Electrical workers. He even accomplished a hole-in-one, twice in the same month.
Beloved husband of Carol for 51 years. Loving father of Danielle Shaw, Kevin Shaw (Marthia), and Eric Shaw. Proud grandfather of Echo Shaw and Aria Shaw. Dear brother of the late Margo Nusz.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at 10:30am at St. Patrick Catholic Church 711 Rickett Rd Brighton, MI 48116. Visitation begins at the church at 9:30am.
Burial will be held after Mass at 12:30pm at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI.
Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy are asked to make a donation in Dan's memory to either a veteran's charity of your choice, or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
