Elnora E. "Norrie" Freshcorn

1924 - 2022

Elnora E. "Norrie" Freshcorn, 98, of Fombell, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2022, while under the care of Concordia at the Villa St. Joseph in Baden.
Born Jan. 4, 1924, in Fombell, she was the daughter of the late Elmer J. Miller and Mable Eppinger Miller.
Norrie loved flowers and working in the yard. She was a 4-H leader for many years. Norrie taught Sunday school at St. Peter's reformed church in Zelienople for many years. She was a secretary for the Marion Township Planning Commission for over 47 years. She owned and operated Norrie's Upholstery from her home in Fombell.
Norrie will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter, Carol Diehl of Fombell; her son, James (Debbie) Freshcorn of Ellwood City; her grandson, Patrick (Kari) Freshcorn, and her great-granddaughters, Rylee and Gabby of Freeport; her granddaughter, Carla (Troy) Bigrigg, and great-granddaughter, Teaghan of Ambridge; and her granddaughter, Heather (Chris) Keth of Durham, N.C.
In addition to her parents, Norrie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carl E. "Corky" Freshcorn, who passed away Oct. 16, 2001.
FRESHCORN - Friends of Elnora E. "Norrie" Freshcorn, who died Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2022, will be received for visitation from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Brenda Aughenbaugh officiating.
Norrie will be laid to rest privately at St. John's Burry's Church Cemetery in New Sewickley Township.
