Eloise Faur Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory - Huntsville on Mar. 30, 2026.
Eloise Faddis Faur, 84, of Fayetteville, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at her home. She was born July 26, 1941, at her grandparents' house at Wharton Creek, Arkansas. Her parents were Doyle and Wilma Steele Faddis.

Eloise graduated from the University of Arkansas with a bachelor's degree and earned her M.Ed. from the University of Arkansas as well. Eloise also attended the Universita per Stranieri di Perugia in Perugia, Italy. Eloise was a teacher for 42 years, with most of that time spent at Farmington Elementary, where she taught special education.

Eloise was a natural polymath, and she always valued education and tenacity. Her interests were wide-ranging, and she loved relishing the details of those interests. Eloise read every Agatha Christie book ever written, could recite recipes from memory, and she was fascinated by modern royalty. Eloise loved beautiful things, and she loved flea markets and antiques, which made her home a joy to explore. More than anything else, Eloise loved and adored her family. She was tireless in defending, providing for, caring for, and advocating for her family. Eloise was defined by her dignity, strength, and grace.

Eloise was preceded in death by her parents, her infant brother, Joe Thomas, and her sister, Harriet Wells. She is survived by her husband, Saleh; her son, Burke Fanari of the home, her son, Amjad of Olympia, Washington; two sisters, Jan Roberts and Shelley Steele, both of Fayetteville; and many nieces and nephews.

There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date, and she will be interred in Huntsville Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the care givers of Good Shepherd as well as the doctors, nurses, and sta\ of Washington Regional.
