Eloise Allen McFadden, age 87, of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away on September 4, 2025. She was born on June 16, 1938, in Downsville, Louisiana to Edward and Leona Allen.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 8, 2025, located at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, LA 71118. Funeral services celebrating the life of Eloise will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at the funeral home with Justin Price to officiate. Burial will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Rd, Shreveport, LA 71109. Honoring Eloise as pallbearers will be Michael McFadden, Justin Price, Johnathan Taylor, Jeff McFadden, Brandon McFadden, Paul McFadden, and Darrell McFadden. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Rick McFadden, Jerry McFadden, Scott Jennings, David Taylor, and Crawford Price.
Eloise graduated from Lisbon High School in 1956. She married Eddie Ray McFadden the same year on December 27, 1956. She worked at Gibson Trucking as a keypunch operator and later at Western Electric/Lucent, where she held several positions and retired as a supervisor in 1989.
Eloise loved gardening, cooking, and playing sports of all kinds. She especially enjoyed watching little league baseball, LSU football, and New Orleans Saints games. Above all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She lived by the motto: “If it is to be, it is up to me.” Eloise was a hard worker, tough but kind, and had a generous heart. She loved her family deeply, never met a stranger, and had an infectious laugh that brought joy to everyone around her.
Eloise was preceded in death by Edward and Leona Allen, Eddie Ray McFadden, Kevin Denard McFadden, Jeremy Michael McFadden, Bessie Mae Acree, Juanita Rich, O.K. Allen, Robert Allen, Royce Allen, Tee Doster, and Brad Jennings.
Left to cherish her memory are Rick and Donna McFadden, Jerry McFadden, Lori Jennings, Michael McFadden, Scott and Rebecca Jennings, Melanie Jennings, Gina and Justin Price, Crawford Price, Jack and Hilda Allen, Mary Green, Marie and Harold Ryan, Robert and Mary McFadden, and numerous nieces and nephews.
