Wellsville - Elsie Andolina of Riverview Heights passed away on Saturday December 26, 2009 at the St. James Mercy Hospital. She was born on September 18, 1925 in Retsof to Angelo and Adele Grandi Zanni. On August 20, 1949 in Retsof she married Frank Andolina who survives.

Elsie graduated from York Central School and in 1953 she and her husband moved to Wellsville. She worked for the former first Trust union Bank in Wellsville for 17 years retiring in 1984. Elsie dedicated her life to her family and instilled the value of education and a strong work ethic. She was very proud of the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren and was an avid bridge player. Elsie was a member of the immaculate Conception Church in Wellsville.

Survivors include: her husband of 60 years, Frank; a son Dr. Richard (Molly) Andolina of Arkport; two daughters, Pamela (Anthony) Farvo of Henrietta and Dr. Patricia (Robert Persia) Andolina of Spencerport; 8 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; a brother James Zanni and a sister Dora Olsen

Friends are invited to call on Tuesday December 29 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm in the J.W.Embser Sons Funeral Home in Wellsville. A prayer service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated by Monsignor Vincent Becker at 11;30 am in the Immaculate Conception Church in Wellsville. Burial will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery in Geneseo. Memorials may be made to either the David A. Howe Library in Wellsville or to Mercy Suite at St. James Mercy Hospital.
