Elsie Louise Johnson

A private, family-led service will be held for Elsie Louise Johnson, with interment in the Columbarium at St. Philip's Episcopal Church. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation and remembrance on Friday, January 9, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Elsie was born on December 7, 1946, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, to Joel Benson Broyles and Gertrude (Schacks) Broyles, and passed away on December 31, 2025, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, at the age of 79 years and 24 days.

Elsie married Raymond E. Johnson on June 25, 1966, in Ardmore, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on December 10, 2010.

She is survived by her nephews, Biff Hunt and his wife Heather, Jason Hunt and his wife Amy, and Jeremy Hunt and his wife Courtney; her special extended family, Ilija, Ivana, Eva, and Nina Ristic; and her brothers, Joe Broyles and his wife Lois, and Kenneth Brecht. She is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and one great-great-nephew.

In addition, Elsie leaves behind many dear friends from her bridge group, mahjong, book club, travel groups, neighbors, and coworkers at Noble Energy, where she worked for 28 years.
